Heartwork: A writing from life workshop

August 24 @ 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

A friendly and accessible creative writing workshop

Join a small group to connect with like-minds, explore your creativity and draw on your experience to write from life in this two hour creative writing workshop. We’ll mine our experience, observations and memories to write creatively and ask ourselves, Why write?

We’ll share inspiring texts, use prompts to fire our imaginations and enjoy some protected writing time, with an opportunity to share your work if you’d like to. Just bring something to write with and your curiosity!

We’ll be in the Rougemont Room at Exeter Library, accessible by lift or stairs. Please get in touch with any questions and to let me know your accessibility requirements.

Suitable for all levels of writing experience. 18+

**The workshop will be a safe, inclusive and respectful space and I ask all attendees to adhere to a code of mutual respect. While the workshop may bring up sensitive subjects it is not intended to be therapy. I am always happy to signpost to support and services for help.

Here’s some feedback from previous participants:

“I was feeling nervous but I quickly felt comfortable and able to express myself.”

“I came away feeling inspired and with more freedom to write. It was well structured with lots of ideas and encouragement.”

“Ysella created a calm, trusting atmosphere from the very start of the workshop, immediately making me feel comfortable and confident to write and share. I learnt some great techniques to continue using in my writing.”

Register using the link below to save one of eight spaces! I’ll be in touch with more details and to arrange payment to secure your place.
