Writing

I’m an experienced writer and love nothing more than unearthing the stories lying at the heart of, well, pretty much everything! I’ve crafted copy for commercials and corporates, for research centres and higher education providers, and freelanced creatively, writing poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction for nearly a decade. I like to think that I understand the power and magic of words – their ability to conjure connections and inspire change and engagement.

Creative Writing

My creative writing focuses on people and place and our connection to each other and the natural world. My work has appeared in national and regional outlets including The Guardian, Ink Sweat & Tears, Brittle Star, Iamb, Spelt Magazine and Blue Nib Literary Journal where I was a contributing editor. I produce and host literary events, facilitate workshops and regularly perform my poetry and creative nonfiction too. I’ve supported award-winning poets Jacqueline Saphra and Liz Berry and have a Masters in Creative Writing and a Diploma in Literature and Creative Writing. I was longlisted for the MsLexia Women’s Prize for Short Fiction 2020.

Copywriting

I’ve got tons of experience copywriting at a national, regional and local level, for corporates, creatives, and non-profits. I’ve written copy, from complex science to arts and community events, to reach diverse audiences. Get in touch to find out more or commission some writing!
